Boys Basketball

Boys Basketball had another fantastic season. They were led by strong play from Levi Tallos ‘26 and Elijah Eschemeyer ‘26. Right now they are sitting at 13-13 but undefeated against ISL teams. Owen Adrianopoli’s ‘27 favorite moment was, “Our win against Culver Academy, we were all playing very well and had the chance to come to a tournament and win the championship. We were dominant in almost every aspect, and the environment was great.” Next season the team needs to get better at, “being able to push the ball, play fast and have faster decisions,” Botond Szabo-Zsamba ‘27 said.

Girls Basketball

The girls basketball team had a great season even though the record does not show it. They played some of the best teams in the country such as Spire Academy. They are led by Wesleyan University commit, Lindsay Farbman ‘26 and the February/March player of the month Blanka Devai ‘27. The team has dealt with injuries all season long with losing Irina Andrijasevic ‘26  and Beatrice Franklin ‘27 missing significant amounts of time. The team finished 12-19 with its best win over Stevenson 47-41.

Chance

The LFA dance team competed in competitions for the first time in program history. They ended up getting first place in their divisions in both tournaments. They narrowly missed out on going to state by less than a point.

Boys Hockey

Prep hockey had an excellent year in head coach Tom Boudreau’s first season. Romain Lellouche ‘26 led the team in points with 93, and also picked up 2nd team all tournament at The Circle K Classic in Calgary, Alberta. Other contributors included Zach Houde ‘26 and defenseman Mathieu Frechette ‘26. The team finished eighth in the United States Prep Hockey Rankings with a record of 32-14.

Girls Hockey

The LFA Girls hockey team has completed another great season. They earned huge wins over Evanston Township High School 9-7 and on senior night against Loyola Academy 5-3. Kayleigh Dunford ‘28 led them in scoring this year. They had a strong senior presence with five on the roster.

Boys Swimming

LFA Boys Swimming concluded another strong season in the ISL with a second place in the ISL Championships. Swimmers across the board set personal best times. Zach Youn ‘26 took home the ISL title in the 50 freestyle with a school-record setting performance. The team sent off a strong class of seniors with a final emotional and dominant win over Larkin High School. “We had tough competition. Coming out of winter break really tested us, but by ISL’s we were locked back in, and put up a good fight,” Jahstone Martin ‘26 said.

Squash

The LFA squash team ended the season with another state championship. They went to play at Nationals in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Hamza Jafri ‘26, committed to Middlebury, has won all of his matches this season except at nationals.
