Amanda Feldman ‘12 not only coaches two Dana Hall varsity sports, but is a dietitian for the Boston’s women’s hockey team and works in a hospital and in a medical private practice.
Amanda has been the Varsity Softball coach in the spring at Dana since 2019, and more recently started coaching Varsity Cross Country in the fall, this year stepping up to be head coach while social studies teacher Brian Cook is on sabbatical. “When they asked me to come back and coach,” she mentions, “it was a no brainer.” Anna Hoyle ‘27, a Varsity Cross Country runner, says that “She brings such a positive attitude to cross country and always shows how much she cares about the team and the school.”
Four years later, she enrolled in Boston University to complete a masters in dietetics. Today, Amanda works four different jobs, and her biggest challenge is “giving 100% to everything [I] do.” Amanda currently works for a hospital in western Massachusetts as a clinical dietitian where she works directly with patients, works to plan weekly menus for Boston Fleet players, and works for a private practice.
In her free time, Amanda enjoys walking her dog, Gus, jogging, traveling to New Hampshire, and cheering on Boston sports teams. This year, Amanda will be back at Dana again for a short time to teach in 8, 10, and 12 grade Forum classes about nutrition.
