The Belmont Hill Wrestling team has had a history of success, consistently winning the ISL dual meet title and the Graves-Kelsey Championship, the first post-season tournament featuring all of the top wrestling teams across the Independent School League. This year was certainly no exception, as the team captured their 20th ISL championship and won the Graves-Kelsey tournament in dominant fashion. At the Graves-Kelsey tournament, nine Belmont Hill wrestlers captured individual titles as champions of their respective weight classes, including Brody Sayers ’28, Declan Woolbert ’27, Isaac Novod ’27, Scotty Moreau ’26, Jack Dragoumanos ’26, Andrew Pimental ’25, Henry Santini ’28, Alex White ’25, and Myles Beckett ’25. Jack Dragoumanos won the prestigious Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament at the end of the meet, in a compiled vote by all of the coaches of the ISL teams.

Following the Graves-Kelsey championships, Belmont Hill moved onto the New England Tournament where the team took 3rd place overall. Three Belmont Hill wrestlers, Brody Sayers, Isaac Novod, and Jack Dragoumanos won individual New England titles, and nine Belmont Hill wrestlers placed in the top four, qualifying for the National Prep Championships.

At the National Championships, Belmont Hill placed 12th, scoring a collective 80.5 team points. Jack Dragoumanos and Isaac Novod both became All-Americans for the second time, with Jack placing 6th and Isaac placing 2nd.

In conclusion, the Belmont Hill wrestling team continued their streak of ISL dominance and further cemented their status as a program not only competitive in New England but highly ranked nation-wide as well.
